PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The Project Manager is empowered with decision making authority for all aspects of the project.  The Project Manager is accountable to Senior Management for; project performance, including costs, schedule, quality, project status and adherence to company policies and programs; ensures project profitability, schedule adherence, safety and customer satisfaction; provides leadership and direction to other members of the project team, fosters relationships with all project stakeholders to further business development. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning & Scheduling

2. Contract Management

3. Risk Management including strategic planning, understanding, interpreting and applying policies and procedures, cost control, managing subcontractors, reporting.

JOB KNOWLEDGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS:

1. Construction Methods & Practices: Proficient in construction methods, practices, processes and systems.  Keeps current on changing technology/methods and industry practices through continuous learning.

2. Computer Skills: Ability to proficiently use e-mail, Microsoft Office, Scheduling Software (such as Microsoft Project or Primavera), and understand the capabilities of company software including to record, track and communicate information effectively.

3. Health & Safety: High level of understanding of OHS Act & Regulations and Heritage Safety program and considered a Competent Supervisor under the Ministry of Labour guidelines.  Ability to enforce H & S policies and implement procedures with a "zero" tolerance attitude in order to ensure a safe workplace.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

1. University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Engineering Technology/Architecture or Construction Management, or Trade Designation, Gold Seal or working towards

2. Minimum five years experience in a Project Manager role and well developed knowledge of the construction process, finance, and management.  Knowledge and understanding of Company and industry practices, processes and performance standards.

3. Previous gaming experience an asset.
