Looking Back: 2012 People’s Choice Awards for Architecture

With voting underway for the 2013 Pug Awards, it’s a good opportunity to look back at the 2012 results.  Of the two People’s Choice Awards granted, Heritage Construction Company Limited was fortunate to be the Construction Manager on the Centre for Green Cities, Evergreen Brick Works (Diamond Schmitt Architects).  Another Heritage Construction project received an honourable mention, the St.

The Sisters of St. Joseph Move In

It was a heartfelt moment for the on-site personnel at Heritage Construction Company Limited when, in March 2013, they assisted 58 elderly nuns during the move into their final home here on earth in March of 2013.  The project  site, located on O’Conner Drive, involved the restoration of an 1885 heritage home and the construction of one of the most avant-garde and environmentally sustainable structures in Toronto designed by award-winning architects Shim Sutcliffe.  Click here to read the article by the Toronto Star, http://bit.ly/XO6EcU.

Work Continues at UTM

Heritage Construction Company is currently underway constructing the new North Building at the University Toronto Mississauga Campus.  The project was awarded to Heritage Construction as a design-build contract in conjunction with architects Perkins + Will, structural engineers exp Services Inc., and Crossey Engineering providing mechanical/electrical design.
