Project Details

Heritage Construction was awarded the design-build contract for the expansion of the Used Fuel Dry Storage Facility in Tiverton Ontario, a facility that processes and stores spent radioactive fuel. The project continued Heritage's successful relationship with Ontario Power Generation.

The project consisted of 5,500 square metres of storage space, and security and communications upgrades to the existing facility. The scope of work included the design, procurement, construction, commissioning and operations training for the expanded facility.

The project was completed on time and on budget in November 2007.
