Project Details

This state-of-the-art multi-purpose stadium facility was awarded to Heritage Construction by the University of Windsor in September 2004 and completed in June 2005. The project was completed on time to host the Pan-American Junior Athletics Championships scheduled for July 27-31, 2005. It is one of the biggest sporting events ever held in the city of Windsor. Besides a playing surface for football and soccer, the new complex features permanent seating for 2,000 spectators with the capability of providing expanded temporary seating for up to 20,000. The stadium also boasts an eight-lane 200-metre all-weather track, four pits for long and triple jump events, four pole vault boxes, two circles for shot put and discus, a steeple chase water jump, a hammer and discus cage, Lynx photo finish and electronic timing system and tower, and ticket and concession booths.
