Woodbine Racetrack Phases 1-4

Racetrack Front View

Project Details

This project comprised a multiple staged construction program to revitalize an aging facility. Through the phased approach, the Woodbine Entertainment Group has transformed the facility into a colorful entertainment complex that offers a 60,000 sq. ft. gaming area that holds 1,700 slot machines, and a newly renovated world class racing floor that services the Woodbine patrons.

Exterior stair towers and curtain wall cladding were added to replace interior stairs. Second floor racing improvements included new mutuel betting windows, a heating and ventilation upgrade, a grand stand enclosure, a life safety system installation, restaurants, ceilings, and flooring. The project also included first floor installation of a fully finished casino space for the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation.

The key to successfully completing this dynamic project on a tight schedule was the team approach taken by all the stakeholders.
